Epitalon, also written epithalon, is a synthetic tetrapeptide with the sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly. It is investigated in experimental cell biology and peptide research.

Cell-culture findings

An experiment using cultured human fetal fibroblasts reported telomerase activity and telomere elongation after epithalon exposure. Human cells in a dish are not a human clinical trial. This does not establish that epitalon reverses ageing, prevents disease or extends human lifespan.
